How to pick a beginner program
Match level, equipment, and days per week to a Kensho beginner plan you can actually finish.
A beginner program should be one you can repeat for 4–8 weeks. Kensho shows level, equipment, and days per week on every card — use those before the program name.
Key points
- If you have never lifted, start with a Beginner badge — not Advanced, even if the title sounds exciting.
- No gym? Pick bodyweight or a home-gym / dumbbell plan. Gym, home, or bodyweight
- Three days per week is enough to start. More days only help if you actually show up.
- Full-body or a simple PPL beginner split both work. PPL vs upper/lower vs full body
- Stick with one plan through the block, then switch. Beginner habits
- Progress means adding a little load or a clean extra rep when the work gets easy. Progressive overload
Open the catalog, filter to Beginner, and pick the equipment you actually have.
